Liverpool Museums

Soft Octopus Design Studio was commissioned by National Museums Liverpool to help tell the story of Edward Rushton, a man criminally unsung for his radical thinking and actions. It was a pleasure helping to raise the profile of this activist and pioneer for equality.
We enjoyed working with the partners at University of Liverpool, Dadafest, Liverpool Museums and others on this worthy educational initiative. The visual design solutions for the exhibition branding and multi-format displays also included historical artefacts from Rushton’s life along with sounds and stories at Museum of Liverpool and the International Slavery Museum that sensitively highlighted Rushton’s historical achievements.
