It's true that most of our clients to date have been from the public sector or are funded by public sector bodies, but our base of private business clients is steadily growing. Our expertise in making information clearer and easier to understand are concepts that are applicable to any organisation or company.
The fact that we're a small studio also means that our costs are generally a lot less than agencies and now more than ever this is important. So, take a look at our portfolio of work opposite and see what you think.
We were approached to pitch a concept and campaign outline to Aintree University Hospitals NHS Trust with a view to devising a full campaign portfolio. After being successfully selected we worked though a series of concepts in consultation with the client committee and are now applying 'With you we can scan' to a wide range of fundraising material for this long-term mass media initiative.

Tobacco Free Futures, formerly known as Smokefree North West is an influential organisation, campaigning to make smoking history for children in the North West and beyond. We're proud to have responsibility for a lot of the corporate design work for this pioneering organisation and enjoyed updating their brand in late 2011 to subtly reflect a change in campaign focus and name.

The materials shown here are for Liverpool Community Health, and Liverpool Primary Care NHS Trusts. These are just a snapshot of the initiatives we've helped with and are diverse in subject matter and style to reflect the broad target audiences which vary from corporate, to professional, to the general public. As with everything we produce for the NHS, all materials are compliant with NHS brand guidance and accessibility best practice.

This is the only charity in the UK wholly dedicated to defeating lung cancer. To do this they need to provide credible and clear information that adheres to strict brand guidelines. We continue to support this important area of work with design for the FagEnds and Look After Your Lungs initiatives.

Alder Hey is a world-renowned children's hospital. This was all the inspiration we needed to develop a brand identity for their annual staff awards. We were also invited to interview some of their young patients for a presentation that featured the plasticine creatures and handmade typography from the range of vibrant printed literature.

Library & Knowledge Service Manager
We devised this mass media campaign to promote oral hygiene and dental health services in an appealing and non-threatening way. The designs were used on posters, transport, billboards, cards and displays. It proved really popular and has been picked up by other NHS Trusts across the UK.
Brighter days ahead! is a campaign dedicated to providing friendly support and encouragement for people who want to give up smoking. This organisation helps thousands of people every year, and the number is going up as more drop-in centres open. We were commissioned to devise a new identity and a suite of resources to promote and support.
'Helping you to a healthier life' was a concept and brand identity we came up with after much client discussion. Smokefree Tower Hamlets loved the work we had created for North Staffordshire so asked us to work on something fresh for them to localise the national smokefree brand. The brand was used on an extensive range of items including public transport, posters, quit diaries, exhibitions, fridge magnets and London underground covers.
Brighton-based JING approached us to help consolidate their disparate range of materials and brand. We transitioned their corporate identity gradually, evolving it into the strong brand they have today. JING has since grown to become the biggest provider of massage training in the UK.

The Piazza required a brand that reflected its prime location at Liverpool's Metropolitan Cathedral. We used this as inspiration, sampling the striking colours and bold frames of the stained glass. These became an an integral part of the logo which we deconstructed and used elsewhere for large window decals and interior details in the restaurant.

Company Director
The Aardvark outlets in Liverpool and Manchester are a sister company of The Piazza. We were asked to devise a brand that was unique yet consistent, so the playful animal icon was born and used on packaging and prominently inside to create a dynamic interior decoration. The fruity hues in the logotype were carefully selected to emphasise the 'Fiercely Fresh Food' sub-brand concept which is included on all packaging.

An identity was required that projected this dental practice as modern and fresh. Water droplets and a dynamic stripe device were developed and applied to all materials to set it apart from the many other practices. These elements were combined with a simple, iconic CPL roundel that may eventually be used on staff uniforms and enamel identity badges.

The Little Room in Liverpool is an exquisite interior design store, small but perfectly formed and their brand update needed to reflect this. This shop has grown in scope over the last ten years and is about to embrace e-commerce so a serious evaluation of their logo and its suitability and flexibility for future needs was critical. We look forward to supporting Carmel and Karl with this and seeing how it develops.
This exclusive confectioner produces hand made delights for the city's finest eateries. A classic, yet contemporary brand and range of promotional items was required to reflect the products' up market qualities. The yummy cakes speak for themselves, so our brand identity simply needed to confirm quality and distinction.

Simon Shaw's beautiful ceramics can be seen in galleries across the UK including Liverpool's Bluecoat Display Centre. He needed a logo that didn't dominate when used in conjunction with images of the ceramics. This was achieved nicely with the design of a bold, yet sensitive logotype and range of promotional cards.

Whimsyflip make gorgeously cute things from recycled and reclaimed materials. Many of the creations are animals, so this was used as inspiration for the logo that features the 'leapdog' character who will soon be featured on items available for purchase at: www.whimsyflip.co.uk
